New Servicing Guidelines:
On May 1, 2013 the Department of Treasury launches the MHA Outreach and Intake Project for homeowners who are potentially eligible for the Home Affordable Modification Program® (HAMP). This project leverages both the National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling (NFMC) Program as well as the web-based technology infrastructure of Hope LoanPort (HLP). HLP is proud to be a part of this program, and to help it reach eligible homeowners, system functionality to support the MHA project will be built to correspond with the project’s launch date. On January 17, 2013, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau released updated rules for mortgage servicers to protect consumers and provide them with better tools and information when dealing with mortgage servicers.
